- The concept of the Wibbly Wobbly brand started back in 2013 when two friends Trevor and Charl decided to start making a granadilla based shooter drink.
- At first it took quite a while to get the right recipe, but over time it was achieved
- However this was really the beginning to where we are today
- Trevor’s wife Sharlee came up with the initial name of Gran-delish (Granadilla and Delicious)
- In 2014 the company was established and thanks to an ex-colleague Tim, the name Wibbly Wobbly came to life
- However this product was for home use and not really set up for retail
- Unfortunately at this stage the idea and concept never really went further
- In 2015 Trevor per chance had friends over one weekend, Marius and Gemma, and the idea was revived
- In 2016, we brought in Johann; a third member into our “dream team
- End 2016 saw us team up with local suppliers who helped us perfect our product
- 2017 the momentum has picked up greatly
- At first we had one bottle for our product in mind, but then at the last minute we changed to what we feel is a better bottle. This meant that the label had to be redesigned to match the new bottle.
- Once again we teamed up with local suppliers to achieve what we feel is a quality looking label and bottle.
- As a business we feel it is very important to team up with local suppliers in the area where we are bottling our product.
- In March of 2017 we got our premises where we could do our bottling and everything started coming together from there.
- All our ingredients have been ordered and we officially start our bottling on the 20th of May 2017
- Now the Wibbly Wobbly “family” has grown to Trevor, Marius and Johann.
